PORT ANGELES The Port Angeles Boat Haven Marina has 520 boat slips for power and sail vessels of all sizes. Just cross the Strait of Juan de Fuca and you are in the San Juan Islands or the City of Victoria, BC. Downtown has a number of good restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries. Rising high above the city is snow-capped Hurricane Ridge, the most popular feature of Olympic National Park. The city is also proud of the award-winning Port Angeles Symphony and the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center. The Olympic Medical Center provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical facilities. The negative: good homes near the marina are hard to find and there are no homes with private docks. Home prices are generally in the $200,000 to $600,000 range.
