The Kitsap Peninsula is located in Puget Sound consisting of over 300 miles of shoreline and located between the Olympic and Cascade Mountains enjoying spectacular views of mountains and water at every turn. Most of the communities are centered around their waterfront with marinas, shops, galleries and restaurants. There are many world class golf courses, endless recreational activities and scenic wonders. In addition to marinas and yacht clubs, Kitsap has upscale waterfront homes with private docks. Seattle is a short ferry boat ride away and the Olympic Peninsula; Victoria and Vancouver, Canada; Portland, Oregon; and three National Parks are all within driving distance. The Kitsap Peninsula is a destination on its own as well as the perfect home base to raise a family and enjoy boating.

I live in a wonderful Whidbey Island boating community named Mariners Cove. Our home is on a canal with a 60' dock where I moor Meridian, a 46' Knight & Carver sports sedan. I am a member of the Oak Harbor Yacht Club and on the Finance Council for St. Augustine's Parish. I am focused on providing real estate services to owners and buyers of boating community properties in my area. Whether buying or selling properties, please give me a chance to help you. Its what I do.
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND This 28-square-mile island offers a small-town ambiance yet is just a 35-minute ferry ride to downtown Seattle. Its 20,000 residents enjoy the island’s natural beauty, its farms, a winery, many hiking trails as well as the local arts. Boating residents enjoy the marinas, local marine services and the many quiet harbors lined with up-scaled homes, many with private docks, water, city and mountain views. Bainbridge is on almost everyone's list of Best Place to Live in the United States. Especially boaters who love to sail or cruise. Waterfront condo prices are $400,000 plus and waterfront homes start at around $1 million to over $5 million. Island living at it's best!
DRIFTWOOD KEY is a planned boating community at the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula on Hood Canal just north of Kingston and a 15 minute drive from the Kingston / Edmonds ferry dock. Driftwood Key owns an 88-slip marina, and there are 50 homes with private boat docks. Kingston Marina is also a possibility for moorage. Recreational facilities include a boat launch, heated swimming pool and clubhouse. This is a boating community with reasonably priced homes with or without private docks. Home price range from around $250,000 to $900,000.
KINGSTON is located on the west shore of Puget Sound in the northern part of the Kitsap Peninsula. It is a 30-minute ferry ride from Edmonds. The Kingston Marina has over 300 permanent and guest slips. Like most Puget Sound area marinas, it has a waiting list, so if you think Kingston is where you want to be, get on the waiting list now. Indianola is just south of Kingston. The Indianola Spit has a few homes with private docks. From the time the ferry leaves the dock at Kingston, you can be in downtown Seattle in about one hour. Most homes in the Kingston area range from $250,000 to $1.5 million.
PORT ORCHARD Port Orchard’s marina is considered by some boaters to be the best in Puget Sound. Commuters access to Seattle is via a short ferry ride on the Southworth Ferry from Fauntleroy in West Seattle. Port Orchard has a very quaint and bustling downtown with a picturesque shoreline. Although it is only ten ferryboat miles from Seattle, it is thousands of miles away in pace of life and atmosphere. Homes are generally less expensive in the Port Orchard area ranging from $200,000 to around $800,000. These listings are centered around Manchester in the eastern part of Port Orchard. There are only a few homes with private docks.
POULSBO One look at downtown Poulsbo and it is evident that the city values its Norwegian heritage. Nicknamed “Little Norway”, of course the city has its annual Viking and Nordic festivals. Three marinas consume the shore of Liberty Bay in the heart of downtown Poulsbo. There are also some homes in the bay with private docks. The town is filled with boutique and antique shops, and good restaurants. Ferry service to Seattle and points east is via Kingston or Winslow. Home prices generally range from around $200,000 to over a million. Good town for boaters.
