ANACORTES Anacortes has four marinas with over 1600 boat slips capable of mooring both small and large yachts. Anacortes is the crown jewel of Fidalgo Island, the most eastern of the San Juan Islands and the jumping off point to the rest of this world-renowned archipelago. Fidalgo Island is accessible by bridges from the east and from Whidbey Island to the south. It is home to the ferry terminal that serves the rest of the San Juans and Sidney British Columbia. Anacortes is home to four successful boat-building companies building custom yachts from 38 to 130 feet. There are some homes close to the marinas, like on Cap Sante. Or take a short ferry ride to Guemes Island where you will find lots of beachfront. Some of the marinas in Anacortes are sold as condominium boat slips.
